Gerry Coughlin
Managing Partner

Gerry is founder and Managing Partner of Oakpoint Advisors. He is responsible for business development and manages Oakpoint’s strategic GP relationships. As the head of Oakpoint’s Capital Team, Gerry manages the firm’s institutional capital marketing business and oversees all aspects of capital formation.  Gerry was formerly the President of Vinik Asset Management, a multi-billion dollar equity long/short fund. In that capacity, Gerry was charged with restructuring the entire infrastructure of Vinik Asset Management and ensuring the firm met all standards of "best practices". He was directly responsible for Finance, Marketing, Operations, Trading and Technology, as well as being one of five members of the Management Committee.  Gerry spent 20 years of his career at Morgan Stanley. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1989 in the Equity Controllers group, working in New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong. He established Morgan Stanley's equity trading and sales trading for Southeast Asia in Singapore, before moving to Hong Kong in 1999 to run regional sales trading, and ultimately assuming responsibility for Asia distribution globally. Gerry returned to New York in 2004 as a member of the Prime Brokerage Executive Committee, where he assumed responsibility for Capital Introductions and Business Consulting. In 2006, Gerry was named Global Head of Sales, where he was responsible for overall coverage of the firm's prime brokerage clients, as well as any new business. He holds a BS in Finance with honors from Northeastern University. Gerry is FINRA registered series 7, 9, 10, 63, 79 and 24.

Michael O’Neill

Michael is a Partner at Oakpoint Advisors. Prior to joining Oakpoint, Michael was a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners in Chicago where he marketed the firm’s products and services to family offices. Prior to Guggenheim Partners, Michael co-founded First Street Capital partners where he provided marketing consulting services and raised assets for alternative investment managers. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President and head of Sales at Calamos Investments where he was responsible for intermediary distribution. Prior to his work in financial services, Michael played professional hockey for 12 years. He received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and an MBA in finance and Marketing from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Michael is FINRA registered series 7, 63, 65 and 24.

William Bonner, CFA

Bill is a Managing Director and a senior member of the Capital Team at Oakpoint Advisors. Prior to joining Oakpoint, Bill was a Vice President at Axiom International Investors where he marketed traditional equity strategies to U.S. and non-U.S. institutional investors. Prior to Axiom, Bill was a Managing Director and Head of Business Development at HomeField Capital where he marketed U.S. equity long/short funds to institutional and high net worth investors. Previously, he was a Vice President at JP Morgan working in both fixed income trading and equities sales trading for thirteen years. Before embarking on a financial career, Bill was a Captain and fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. Bill received a BS in Finance from the University of Maryland and is a CFA charter Holder. Bill is FINRA registered series 7 and 63.

Tim Driscoll
Managing Director

Prior to joining Oakpoint Advisors, Tim was a Vice President at UBS Private Wealth Management where he devised and implemented investment strategies for select individuals and families. Prior to his career in private wealth management, Tim was a Managing Director with Agecroft Partners, a third party marketing firm. While at Agecroft, Tim's responsibilities included raising assets for single manager hedge funds across a spectrum of investment strategies and articulating the investment philosophy and process of Agecroft clients to institutional investors in North America. Tim has held senior roles as an institutional equity sales trader at Banc of America Securities, ABN Amro and Jefferies & Co. Before attending business school, Tim was a Vice President at Prudential Securities where he was an institutional fixed income salesperson. Tim received a BA in History from Princeton University and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management. Tim is FINRA registered series 7 and 63.

Jack Eiff

Jack is a Director and a member of the Capital Team at Oakpoint Advisors. Prior to joining Oakpoint, Jack served as Managing Director at Redan Capital responsible for institutional capital raising initiatives. Prior to Redan, Jack served as managing Director at R6 Advisors where his primary focus was business development and capital formation. He has held senior institutional sales roles at SG Cowen, Spear Leeds & Kellogg. Weeden & Company and Fidelity Capital Markets. Jack spent the majority of his career at E*Trade as part of their global institutional distribution arm based in New York. Jack earned a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University and currently holds the Series 7, 55, and 63 registrations with FINRA.

Shea Spade

Shea is a Vice President at Oakpoint Advisors and a member of the Capital Team. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Shea worked at Franklin Templeton Investments as a business analyst. She previously worked in the Finance and Accounting department for the Tampa Bay Lightning after graduating from the University of South Florida with a BS in Finance. Shea is registered series 7.

Penny Anne Bodle

Penny Anne Bodle is an Advisory Board member of Oakpoint Advisors. She has extensive experience in the Family office channel. Penny is currently the Managing Partner of Fountainhead Partners US, which is an advisory firm to a Hong Kong based MFO. She sources direct deal flow and manager opportunities for a select group of large (1b+USD) Asian family offices. Prior to Fountainhead, Penny was a Managing Director at Raptor Group Holdings, the family office of James Pallotta. She continues to be a partner in ACRE Workforce Housing, a joint venture between Raptor and Asia Capital Real Estate. Penny began her career at Morgan Stanley, where most recently she was a Divisional Director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, with responsibility for the private wealth management and family office channels in the Eastern part of the United States. Penny is registered with FINRA and holds the series 7 and series 63.

Erik Anderson
Managing Director | CFO

Erik joined Oakpoint in 2015 as the Chief Financial Officer responsible for our manager partnership program. In this role he and his team act as the integrated operational solution for a select number of hedge fund clients. Erik has more than 10 years of experience building out and managing all aspects of hedge fund operations and infrastructure. Prior to joining Oakpoint, Erik served as the CFO and COO for several hedge funds and investment managers with assets ranging from $100M to $500M. Most recently, Erik served as CFO for Gator Capital Management, an investment advisor focused on the financial services sector. Prior to Gator he held the CFO role at Praesidis Advisors, an investment firm focused exclusively on the power and utility sectors; prior to that he was a founding employee of Jove Partners, a New York City based hedge fund. From 2003 through 2005, Erik was CFO for Imperium Capital Management. Erik earned his BS in Finance from Florida State University. He is also a CFA® charterholder.

Matthew Milazzo

Matt is a Managing Director and Head of Trading within Oakpoint's manager services platform.  Prior to joining Oakpoint, Matt was Head of Equity Trading at Logan Circle Partners, a Fortress Investment Group company, based in Tampa, FL.  Prior to Logan Circle, Matt was Vice President at Goldman Sachs Asset Management within their Central Trading Desk, with a primary focus on equity trading for the Fundamental Equity Growth Strategies, comprising of various market caps and concentration with roughly $20B in AUM. Previously he was Vice President of Equity Trading at Allianz Global Investors, with a primary focus on trading for their mid cap and large cap value strategies. Prior to Allianz, he was an equity trader at SAC Capital, trading for a market neutral portfolio concentrated in electrical utility equities. Matt has seventeen years of buy side trading experience. He received his BA in International Business from Lehigh University.

Chris Capozzalo

Chris Capozzalo is Partner and Chief Operating Officer and joined Oakpoint Advisors in 2009.  Chris contributes significantly to planning the strategic direction of the firm and its infrastructure.  He is responsible for Oakpoint’s broker-dealer operations in Tampa, FL and is the liaison to the firm’s strategic legal relationships globally.  Chris shapes and implements the firm’s compliance program, overseeing key service partners, while serving as the point person with FINRA and the SEC.  Prior to joining Oakpoint, Chris was Vice President at Citigroup’s headquarters in New York, NY, serving as a Structurer for their Prime Brokerage and Equity Derivatives groups. Chris developed unique financing transactions for some of Citi’s largest hedge fund relationships.  Before his time at Citi, he worked at Amaranth Advisors, a $9BN multi-strategy hedge fund based in Greenwich, CT as a member of their Treasury and Portfolio Finance desk.  During his 4 years at Amaranth, Chris was a meaningful contributor in the build out and development of their middle office and operational control groups.  With the Treasury group, Chris negotiated Credit, ISDA, Prime Broker and Master Repo Agreements.  Chris helped the firm manage liquidity on their US broker-dealer.  He reduced financing costs and collateral usage through swaps, securities lending, repurchase agreements and strategic asset allocation at various custodians and prime brokers. He started his career at Morgan Stanley and has a BA in Finance from Pace University. Chris is FINRA registered series 3, 7, 63, 79 and 99.

Kate Pettersen
Director | Controller

Kate is a Director and Controller for Oakpoint's manager services platform. Kate has over 15 years of experience at large financial institutions and alternative asset managers.  Kate began her career at State Street Corporation.  More recently she was the Controller for Centaur Performance Group, LLC, a convertible arbitrage hedge fund in Greenwich, CT.  In Tampa, Kate was Controller at Vinik Asset Management, a multi-billion dollar equity long/short hedge fund and then Controller at Third Lake Capital, LLC, a large, single family office.  Kate studied at the College of International Studies in Madrid, Spain and received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley University.

Beau Audirsch
Accounting Analyst

Beau Audirsch is an accounting analyst. Prior to joining Oakpoint Advisors, he worked for Gator Capital Management and MAC Investment Management, where he provided a wide variety of back-office operation services and research assistance, respectively. Beau studied at St. Petersburg College.

Maya serves as the FINOP of Oakpoint’s registered broker dealer Oakpoint Solutions, LLC. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Maya spent over 15 years as an Industry professional in the area of financial and regulatory reporting. Maya served for 5 years at BISYS Regulatory Services as a supervisor in the Financial Reporting division. Maya holds her Series 29 and provides FINOP services to over 20 investment companies and registered broker-dealers.
